Vue on Halcyon || Rainy Winery Wedding || Chirnside Park

My Journal

My first time photographing a wedding at Vue on Halcyon in Chirnside Park and boy is it one I’ll never forget. Needless to say, we all got wet. But that didn’t stop us. Megan and Lachy first met in 2015 and have been inseparable since. After postponing their wedding by a few weeks to allow for extra guests with the COVID restriction easing in Melbourne, their wedding day was full of surprises, excitement, rain and more rain.

Megan wore a stunning Anna Campbell gown with a simplistic view from Marquise Bridal and an incredible head piece from Aura Bridal Wear. They all completed each other perfectly and with Paige Craig’s amazing skills to bring up Megan’s natural beauty, I swear I was looking at a princess. In Megan’s words “I never felt so beautiful in all my life”.

Megan and Lachy were up for anything during portraits, no matter the rain. We had a moment of 15mins with no rain towards the end of the night, we squeezed in family photos and afterwards, Megan really wanted vineyard photos and by that time it was starting to rain again, but we did it. We ran to the vineyard, positioned outside and walked back towards the venue whilst rain was pouring down our faces but it was so worth it and just perfect….even with a camera that wouldn’t turn on after that! 🙂

Megan and Lachy….THANK YOU! Thank you for sticking with me and willing to give everything a go without question. Your wedding was so bloody fun and your first dance was epic.

Lots of love to you.
